About these terms
These terms and conditions apply to your use of the You First Physio website (youfirstphysio.co.nz) and to any appointments, classes, or services you book with us across our clinics, including Longhurst, Riccarton, Avonhead, UC Undercroft, the UC Recreation Centre and Merivale.
By using this website or booking an appointment with us, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book services with us.

Our services
The team at You First Physio work with a 3 staged Pain to Performance model of care, aiming to provide care that is professional, caring and patient-focused. Our services include physiotherapy, sports physiotherapy, Pilates, pelvic health physiotherapy, VALD strength and movement testing, ACL rehabilitation, concussion services, and vocational rehabilitation.
Descriptions of services on this website are provided for general information. They don't replace a proper clinical assessment. What's right for you will depend on your individual presentation, which our physiotherapists will assess in person or via video consult.
Bookings and appointments
Appointments can be made through our online booking system, by phone, or in person at any of our clinics.
- An initial assessment needs to be done prior to joining Pilates or GLA:D classes.
- You're responsible for giving us accurate information when booking, including relevant medical history and ACC claim details where applicable.
- If you're booking on behalf of someone else (for example, a child or dependent), you confirm you have the authority to do so.
Cancellations and missed appointments
We understand plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer the slot to another patient.
We reserve the right to charge a cancellation or non-attendance fee for appointments cancelled with insufficient notice or missed without notice. Fee amounts and notice periods will be communicated to you at the time of booking or displayed at reception.
Fees, payment, and ACC
Fees for consultations and treatment are payable at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made.
If you have an ACC claim, we'll process this in line with ACC requirements, but you remain responsible for any portion of the fee not covered by ACC (such as surcharges or non-covered treatments).
Clinical disclaimer
Nothing on this website is a substitute for individual clinical assessment or advice. If you're experiencing a medical emergency, call 111 or go to your nearest emergency department. Don't rely on website content to make decisions about a medical condition.
Treatment outcomes vary between individuals. We don't guarantee a specific result from any treatment, class, or programme.
Your health information
We collect and hold health information about you to provide safe and effective care, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 2020. This may include information shared with ACC, your GP, or other treating practitioners where relevant to your care.
You can ask to see or correct your health information at any time by contacting the clinic directly.

You may use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as learning about our services or making a booking. You must not:

- use the site in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
